Days of the week in Korean

Each day is named after the moon, fire, water, tree, gold, earth and sun, followed by 요일 ("day of the week"). Calendars often show only the first syllable: 월 화 수 목 금 토 일.

Months in Korean

Months are easy: Sino-Korean number + 월 (month). 1월 is 일월, 2월 is 이월, and so on.

Two months are irregular: June is 유월 (not 육월) and October is 시월 (not 십월).

How to say a date in Korean

Korean dates go from big to small: year (년) → month (월) → day (일) → day of the week, all with Sino-Korean numbers.
