Skills test and point-based selection

In the regular rounds, EPS-TOPIK is round 1 (together with a colour-vision check). About 1.1 times the quota moves on to round 2: a physical fitness test (grip and back strength plus a random task such as burpees or pushing a cart), an interview and basic job skills for the industry. Up to 5 extra points are given for work experience, training and qualifications. Candidates scoring under 60% of the skills test are eliminated.

EPS countries and the 2026 quota

In 2026 there are 18 EPS sending countries: the Philippines, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Cambodia, China, Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan, Timor-Leste, Nepal, Myanmar, Laos, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan (approved in August 2026, recruitment expected from 2028). Korea's E-9 quota for 2026 is 80,000 workers.

Passing EPS-TOPIK does not guarantee a job. Passers stay in the job-seeker roster for 2 years, and Korean employers choose workers from it. Anyone who asks for money to "guarantee" selection is a scammer — register only through your government agency.
